Vuosittaiset foorumit
Our annual forums are a platform emphasising typically marginalised voices for much needed critical discussions concerning anti-racism in Finland. In 2016, we had the first all non-white panel of experts to speak about racism in Finland, in 2017, we had a panel on the silenced histories of the Sámi and Roma people in Finland, in 2018 under the theme of “visible voices” the effects of racism and discrimination on mental health were discussed for the first time in Finland.
In 2019, as a part of our No Single Struggle Project funded by Open Society Foundation, the forum focused on inter-community solidarities in activism.
Facts Against Hate -hanke
ARF is part of the Ministry of Justice EU -funded Facts Against Hate-project which will be launched in spring 2020.
ARF’s workstream aims to develop and test an online reporting tool for the reporting of hate incidents and crimes in Finland. Additionally, the project seeks to improve reporting of hate crimes to the police, enhance the capabilities of hate crime reporting of NGOs, as well as to develop and test methods and practices for using and disseminating the gathered data.
